Painter. Cataloguer of the absurd everyday.
Madeline Bohrer works from her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. A professor at Rowan University, she is an alumna of Boston University and holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work mines personal experience and art history for paintings where clocks, cows, swimming pools, and Purell trade places with reality.
Her paintings have shown at Latitude Gallery, Tchotchke Gallery, ArtPowHer, Adelson Gallery, SPF 32 at the William Ulmer Brewery, Spoonbill Studio, and the Berkshire Museum.
